Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40104)
AimThe School, in partnership with Distance Learning Australia (DLA), now offers the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40104), with an emphasis on the program’s flexibility and delivery by e-learning with access to virtual classrooms. A virtual classroom is private online space that tutors can use to support student learning. It is accessible via the Internet, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just like your face-to-face classroom, and may contain group and individual learning activities, discussions, chats and forums. When you enrol in one of these courses, you will receive a user name and password to enter your online course as soon as your enrolment is processed. During your study contact is by phone and email, with unlimited support available from your trainer. The estimated timeframe for courses is based on four weeks per unit at 4-6 hours per week, however you can complete sooner if you wish and in most cases an extension can be arranged before the finish date given to you. e-Learning enhances flexible delivery and the period in which a student can gain the qualification. The program’s flexibility also allows students to deliver training and assess trainee competence without the need to do the full qualification. |

Participants may have the opportunity to attend a virtual classroom during their study. This will apply to those who enrol in full certificate courses, and anyone who enrols in TAAASS404B, the validation unit where they will carry out a validation. We anticipate organising virtual classes so that participants can attend at least once during their course. Participation will be optional and a person can still achieve their goals if technologies prevent them from participating in activities requiring higher levels of technology (e.g. broadband and Internet requirements).
