TAA: Provide training – Instruction and Demonstration
AimIn this course you will cover the skills required to provide instruction and demonstration of work skills using existing learning resources, in a safe and comfortable learning environment, and to determine the success of both the training provided and personal training performance. It addresses the skills and knowledge required to organise and conduct the instruction and demonstration through a planned approach. It emphasises the training as being driven by the work process and context. The training may be delivered to achieve competency standards/ units of competency prescribed by a Training Package, or may be delivered to meet organisational requirements. You will need to conduct a minimum of three training sessions involving demonstrating and instructing of particular work skills for different groups. Each session must address different learning objectives, a range of techniques and effective communication skills appropriate to the audience and send this in by audio or DVD, or documented proof that you have performed or documented proof that you have performed training in the workplace. This short course is based on one Unit of Competency. Target audienceThe Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAA40104 is a requirement for gaining employment as a Trainer and Assessor within private and government Registered Training Organisations, and in a similar role within in organisations that are not RTOs. An emerging trend is for inclusion of training and assessing qualifications – or units therein - in ‘mainstream’ jobs across a broad variety of occupations and industries, especially not-for-profit organisations. |

A range of delivery techniques should be used to enhance the experience for the learner. |
Study choices
The unit Provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills is available for individuals by the following 2 options:
- e-Learning
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
This is based on a portfolio and interview approach to RPL. Your application does not automatically mean you will be successful in all units. For those where you cannot provide evidence to the standards required, you can go on to study individual units at $150.00 per unit. On enrolment you will receive access to a unique online RPL tool which will help you select and save evidences online and map evidences automatically across the units. RPL should not be a difficult process providing you have access to proof that you are competent in the units.
The unit Provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills is available for groups/organisations by:

Duration
The expected completion time for this course is estimated at 4 weeks per unit at 4-6 hours per week. There is one unit in this course (approximately 4 weeks).
Support
For distance learning: on enrolment each student is allocated a tutor who will provide support throughout the course. Contact with the tutor will be not less than monthly, but is usually more frequent, and will be in accordance with the tutoring schedule agreed between student and tutor.

You will then be contacted by the School Administration Manager who will confirm with you any opportunities for RPL and/or Credit Transfer for prior studies, and explain the enrolment procedure in greater detail and process your enrolment.
